Despite my yen for exploration and travel, we did very little of that last week. This is, in part, due to the fact that we’re still trying to get H’s naps figured out. It seems like her mission in life right now is to NOT nap, making our afternoons truly pleasurable and easy. (I hope you picked up on the sarcasm there.)
Anyways, I digress…
In spite of this, one place we did get to this week (3 times, in fact!) was the Los Gatos County Creek Dog Park. We haven’t taken any pictures while there, so I’ve pasted a few below from Yelp to give you an idea of what it’s like.
Each space has astro-turf on which the dogs can run; the perimeter of each is dotted with a couple of tented benches and several plastic chairs. There is also a water fountain that fills a bowl the pups can easily access on their own.
Although Maisie loves other dogs, we’ve begun to realize she prefers to play with those who are smaller than she is. When the other big dogs get to playing, she either watches from a distance or runs up to the action as if to say, “Yea! I’m involved,” but then runs away seconds later. She’s just a big wuss. Nonetheless, it’s good exercise and she’s sort of figured out the whole fetch thing, which is hysterical to watch.
Finally, I want to share that we DO have big plans for this week, so stay tuned for some adventure posts. =)
