Transitioning from winter to spring doesn’t just mean packing up your sweaters and pulling out your shorts and sandals. It also usually means changing color palettes. The spring brings light and bright colors that often stand out from the darker neutrals and jewel tones infamous in the winter months. Although I tend to be someone who favors deep purples and blues, I’m excited to incorporate more brilliant hues into my wardrobe on a daily basis, and Pantone’s Spring 2014 Colors all make me super excited about the prospect of doing so:
That being said, the transition from winter to spring isn’t always smooth. One day it is sunny, in the 60s, and the next it’s in the low 50s and raining. So, boxing up those sweaters and dark colors at once isn’t the solution. Instead, I encourage mixing colors from the two seasons, and slowly make your way towards the summer sunshine.
